The perfect venue is hard to find, and for many couples planning a wedding its the first job on the long list. We have recently had the pleasure of finding a little gem that is both welcoming, quirky and wonderful to decorate with flowers! Teaming up with these guys was a no brainer for sure.

The Highfield house is magical, its full of surprising little spaces and luxurious rooms created by Husband and Wife team Lindsay and Andy. The house has been lovingly restored and carefully upgraded with some spectacular plans for the future…. Contact Ellen Davies the House manager for for the full low down on this amazing space!

We had a blast decorating this place and the scope is endless, its so versatile whilst emanating its own personality

THE ENTRANCE HALL

The entrance to Highfield house is the most luxurious blue. It packs a punch as soon as you walk in and the stained glass windows create a perfect photo opportunity for you as the freshly married couple!

THE STAIRCASE

With wallpaper hand designed by Zopsigog this William Morris style wooden staircase is both beautiful and yearning for decoration with flowers, Here we provided golden urns with trailing foliages, wooden lanterns with meadow like ferns and flowers to compliment.

THE FIREPLACE

This grand yet neutral room allows you to create whatever colour scheme you like and the fire place when lit is an ample focal point. We decorated with pomegranates, foliages, apples and grapes. Florals in luxurious peaches and raspberry shades adorn the extravagant space. With candles lit the room glows with a lovely cozy warmth. Flowers flow from the hearth into the room and double doors lead out onto the exquisite gardens.

THE LAKE

Just dreamy. The lake has its own mini waterfall and you wont forget photos like this. The grounds are a perfect setting for some summer time fun. We created this garland together with plenty of trailing vines for the magical etherial look. A beautiful flower crown can mean that you don’t need to carry your bouquet around all day to still have flowers with you all day long.

THE BANQUET HALL

And onto the feast. There is so much beautiful food from The hog and apple caterers we felt the need simulate that wow. A cozy ceiling of ferns, foliages with hints of hanging florals brings a full and intimate feel to the whole affair. Because we were going all out here if you look carefully you can see our faux crows flying around in the foliages too!. We placed tiny faux bluebirds around the pies at the feast and the room looked like a secret garden.
